Downriver for Veterans is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting local veterans in Downriver Michigan communities. We are dedicated to enhancing the pride and patriotism in all Michiganders by building a stronger, more supportive community around those who served us.
Services We Provide
After veteran status has been verified (Accepted documentation limited to DD-214 or valid military or retiree identification), we can serve veterans with emergency funds to assist with items such as rent, utilities, car repairs and other essential life expenses. In addition, we provide food, household goods and other life-essentials in times of need or due to unforeseen circumstances. .
Donations We Accept (And Can't Accept)
Your generous, tax-deductible contribution to our 501C3 charity will help Downriver veterans and their families with essential life expenses. We can accept:
- Non-perishable food items
- Pet food and litter
- Toiletries
- New Bedding
- Cannot accept medical supplies or clothing
All clothing donations should be delivered to STEP Thrift Store 15413 Dix Toledo Rd in Southgate.
